Description
Philodendron ‘painted lady’Mercy this one is bright, all about the bright colored foliage (think looking at the sun without shades sorta bright). Philo ‘painted lady’ is said to be a hybrid of Philo erubescens emerald queen and Philo erubescens burgundy, so think reverted ‘pink princess crossed with the green form and some wires got crazy crossed in the process if this was the original crossing as proposed. New foliage starts off almost entirely bright yellow with mottling developing as it hardens off, brighter light lends to brighter foliage, bright shade is suggested. This is totally an undemanding grow, outdoors here in tropical zone 10 it does great in the landscape if a vertical host [tree] is provided, indoors we recommend a suitable vertical host like an untreated 2x2 available at your local home improvement chain stores. Either indoors or outdoors, we highly recommend providing the vertical host otherwise you may never get to see the amazing mature foliage on this looker. Though it would survive in vivarium or terrarium conditions, I would imagine it to be a highly impractical way to grow this fast growing aroid.
This auction:
This offering is really well rooted, division made last year and currently outgrowing a 4”pot. This offering isn’t a tiny toothpick grown under led lights in a dark basement, this is old school pre-pandemic size, if it kicks the box open and demands your lunch money we apologize in advance. Currently outgrowing a 4” pot, have another look at the actual pictures of the auction plant, we’ve uploaded the largest images possible, unretouched, so you can see every flaw or blemish (no IG filters here)
About us:
We have been buying and selling uncommon plants here on ebay since 1999! During that time, we have maintained a 100% positive feedback rating. We don’t list as frequently as we did in the earlier days, so some of you that are newer to plant collecting may not know of us yet. We have been collecting rare and unusual plants since well before we signed up with ebay to share our plants. We are not plant flippers, we are not buying plants from other sources to flip and make a quick buck. We do not sell tissue culture plants. We seldom propagate, we are collectors that simply have a spare plant from time to time. We ship our plants well packed, and as quickly as we can get them in the mail. Our plants are shipped without pot, or soil, and we package the plants in a way that allows you to unpack them without tearing the plant apart. Being collectors for decades, we know what a good plant is, we know when a plant is well packed, and we simply strive to offer a good plant packed the way we would appreciate receiving them.
International shipping:
We do offer shipping to most countries, but only at the buyer’s risk. During the past twenty years of selling here on ebay, we have shipped to most major countries and we have never had a plant not arrive alive that we are aware of. We ship all of our plants without soil, in clear plastic for quick inspection should that occur upon arriving in your country. Despite our decades of successful international shipping, we have not done so during a global pandemic, we cannot guarantee live arrival. All international shipping is strictly at the buyer’s risk; no refunds or replacement plants will be offered.
Friendly advice:
Most of what we list is typically rare, think one of a kind, we do not propagate in bulk like some sellers. If you like a unique plant, please bid accordingly while the auction is still active. Please do not contact us after the auction has ended asking for another offering, most of our listings are one of a kind plants. After an auction ends, we will only respond to the winning bidders, ebay is not our full time job, we have limited time for the few listings we offer. On the rare occasion we have a similar plant, it will be listed at a later time when the plant is ready so everyone has an equal opportunity to win the plant. –Thank you for understanding and best of luck with your biddings.
